Living in a non-Christian Science Community

In my Father’s house are many mansions . . . I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)

Place. It’s an idea in thought and may be expressed as a house, a condo, an apartment, or even as part of a community. Love prepares a place for each one of us, and no matter where it seems to be, your place is still and always in God’s house.

If your next demonstration of home appears to be in a community of people who are not Christian Scientists, you can expect it to include everything you need: companionship, privacy, comfort, transportation, and a progressive environment. The resources in this section include several directories of independent- and assisted-living communities, as well as a checklist of issues and questions to keep in mind.

Living in a community like this can be a way to gain new experiences and find moments to exchange insights. It’s an opportunity to bless and to be blessed.

Be sure to visit Christian Science Church Communities for suggestions and resources for remaining closely connected with your Christian Science community.
